Description

Studio Baikin is an independent French studio that designs and develops games on mobile and PC, the studio was founded by game industry veterans Mathieu Akita (Dark Guardians, Lumi "Grand prize XNA indie game 2010", Spyro Activision), Nicolas Blanc (Asterix, Arthur, Spyro, Dragons etc...) and Julien Akita (Co-founder of Studio Pango, mobile kids game publisher).

History

Pango to Baïkin

We first created Studio Pango SAS in 2013, it's a French innovative company designing and producing applications for kids from 3 to 7. Founded in 2013, Studio Pango managed to develop business relationships with world-famous firms. Thanks to its unique brand universe and high-quality products, the little studio grew and became a recognized player in child application. With a view to diversifying the business activity and conquer new markets, Studio Pango SAS created «Studio Baikin» label in 2014 in an effort to reach a wider audience of gamers.

Team

The team is composed of people with technical skills who have worked in many joint projects, in AAA for big game publishers (Activision, Atari etc...) but also smaller-scale games for tablets/mobiles.

Magibot

Originally we develop apps for kids between 3 to 7 with our main character Pango. We have 18 apps on the market. In the beginning of 2016, we wanted to produce a game for a larger public, so we began to search for an original gameplay. By re-opening ou IdeaBox we found a game concept created by Mathieu Akita back in 2010, a strategic-2D plat-former game. After receiving a grant from the CNC in 2016, we began developing our new game Magibot. See the project webpage for more details.
